The Omegaton ASG-series consists of auto-loading shotguns used for massive damage at close range. They are very useful for cleansing bunkers, assaulting strongholds and laying waste to foes quickly. They use ordinary BLP packs, but launch several bullets per pull of the trigger, to create the classical shotgun pellet effect. The large bore of the weapon makes the range limited though. The Warthog was such a success in military circles that a special version of the shotgun was created, by the legendary Roman Ram. This weapon was released by the colonial administration of Planet Calypso after the Resettlement, celebrating the Second Golden Age.
