The Mk.V is a rare sighting on Calypso, as it almost always is smuggled to the colony. The mad hacker/tech-wiz Wulfer "Krankheit" Blau adjusted a version of the weapon, using standard replacement parts out of the book. The design was spread and many applied the ideas to the Mk.V's available on the planet. The basic things exchanged were the trigger servo, the mirror amplification emitter in the barrel and some excess weighty parts in the stock. After Blau vanished during a expedition in the mountains south of Hadesheim, the designs were nowhere to be found - all public copies self-disintergrated.
