The Kaiser-Graf series of gauss rifles (or, "railguns") is a rare occurrence on Calypso. This bulky high-velocity magnetic rifle is state of the art and is a new weapon of choice against robots. Their rate of fire is quite high, but the range is somewhat limited due to the low mass the projectile fired. As all first generation new technology their real effectiveness on the battlefield remains to be seen. The HVMR-1 series is a basic model for modern battlefield usage, and aimed to the grunts who are fighting the robot menace.
